Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Negotiate with suppliers and coordinate with Manufacturing and Sales, Corporate Purchasing and Legal for execution of Supply Agreements that achieve lowest total system cost and which are in accordance with company policies and procedures.
2. Manage contractual commitments and supplier assessments, ensuring all purchases consistent with Plant quality and delivery requirements made.
3. Secure the Raw Material supply for plants in China, Thailand, and Korea.
4. Partner with internal organization (R&D, Manufacturing, Marketing, etc.) to lead supply-based projects which mitigate business risk and drive efficiencies.
5. Develop supplier base and supplier relationships; forecast market changes; develop and recommend alternative sourcing options
6. Develop and implement Strategic Contract Negotiations with chemical Raw Material suppliers
7. Develop and implement Strategic Sourcing strategies for Raw Material procurement
8. Analyze, develop and deliver timely cost information. Maintain sourcing database and metrics for reporting and communicating Procurement activities.
9. Develop and implement sourcing strategies, which include competitive intelligence, and which are aligned with business objectives.
10. Provide supply-based market intelligence to internal partners.
11. Develop sourcing strategies, and drive cost savings and supply chain efficiencies while maintaining top tier service levels.

 

Requirements

1. Bachelor Degree (B.S. in Chemistry or Engineering preferred), Masters and/or MBA preferred; 
2. At least 10 years of chemical materials industry experience and/or related Procurement or Supply Chain experience;
3. Strong negotiating, interpersonal, written and verbal communications skills, including assertiveness and attention to detail, as needed to negotiate regional /national /global-purchasing contracts.
4. Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook;
