Responsibility

 

1. Develop forecast models based on key assumptions and in collaboration and agreement with global marketing and product strategy teams
2. Perform analyses and assessments that include market size, penetration, market dynamics and potential revenue for worldwide forecasts

3. Present forecasts to product development teams and senior management for approval

4. Owns the integrity of the demand forecast and the demand forecasting process 

5. Primary point of contact for Manufacturing, Planning, and Finance for all questions surrounding the demand forecast 

6. Develops variance reports capturing reasons for M/M and Q/Q changes and communicates those to the leadership team 

7. Provides forecast feedback to product marketing team, challenging their forecasts and ensuring that assumptions are well understood and articulated

8. Works with marketing to capture, document, and adjust the forecast to reflect changes in future demand patterns due to gaining/losing market share, new product launches, etc 

9. Develop metrics to direct improvements to managing demand performance 

10. Develop rrts as-needed 

11. Develop requirements for automated reporting dashboards and reports 

12. Promote continuous improvement of forecasting processes and procedures 

13. Responsible for analysis and management of S&OP demand metrics 

14. Analyze demand trends based on customer forecast and firm orders 

15. Support weekly reporting as needed for demand meetings 

16. preside over t monthly S&OP Meetings

 

 

Requirement

 

1. BA/BS in Finance, Statistics, Science, Engineering, Business, or Informatics

2. MS/MBA preferred 

3. 5-7 years forecasting experience, with a understanding of forecasting methodologies and systems 

4. Ability to prepare and analyze complex data sets 

5. Working knowledge of planning processes and systems 

6. Strong project management skills—able to organize and complete multiple projects efficiently and on-time

7. Demonstrated analytical skills combined with a client service orientation

8. Ability to identify, analyze and resolve problems independently 

9. Analytical, strong organizational skills and very detail oriented 

10. Must have the ability to prepare and deliver effective presentations 

11. Ability to interface well with cross-functional teammates and all levels of employees and management
