Report to: General Manager
Responsibilities
1. Responsible for the effective development, implementation and maintenance of the quality assurance system and assuring the quality of finished products. The QM will be leading for the product risk management.
2. Formulate, document and maintain quality control systems to ensure effectiveness and efficiency, as well as on-going quality control objectives.
3. Coordinate objectives with production procedures in cooperation with other COMPANY Leadership to maximize product reliability and minimize cost.
4. Create, document and implement inspection criteria and procedures.
5. Design, develop and implement quality control training programs.
6. Manage and provide inspection activity for product throughout manufacturing process.
7. Assures PPAP requirements have been met, inclusive of documentation.
8. Create documents for part characteristics inclusive of critical characteristics as outlined in the Control Plan (Work Instructions, PFMEA, Flow Charts, etc...)
9. Manage individuals engaged directly in the Quality function to ensure high productivity and high technical integrity.
10. Interpret engineering drawings, diagrams or confers with other COMPANY Management or vendors to determine quality & reliability standards.
Produce reports regarding nonconformance of products or processes, daily production quality, root cause analyses, or quality trends.
11. Review statistical studies, technological advances, or regulatory standards and trends to stay abreast of issues in the field of quality control.
12. Identify critical points in the manufacturing process and specify sampling procedures to be used at these points.
13. Perform other duties as assigned by immediate supervisor and/or COMPANY Management representatives.
14. Authority to stop production if unsafe conditions or poor quality exist.
Requirements
1. Bachelor Degree in an Engineering discipline, a related technical field or equivalent experience.
2. A minimum of eight (8) years of progressive work experience in the Quality function
3. Management and application of Quality Systems, such as TS16949 is required.
4. Oral and written communication skills, strong interpersonal skills and superior organizational abilities.
5. Ability to take initiative, maintain confidentiality, meet deadlines and work in a team environment.
6. Proficiency in various Microsoft Programs, such as Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
7. Ability to perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment to assure delivery requirements.
8. Meet or exceed the requirements of the job.
